7 Tips For Creating The Perfect Eyes
Eye shadow can be one of the most difficult cosmetics to apply to your face properly. Using certain techniques, you can enlarge and emphasize your eyes, all while creating a unique look. It can be hard finding the right balance between colors and shades to get the effect that you are looking for. I may not be the perfect person to be giving makeup advice. I am more often found in my pajama's than with eye liner on but here are some great tips that can help anyone to make their eyes look beautiful all day long.
1. Blend your colors
2. Begin with a base
Applying a base on your eyelids before putting on your eye color will help your color to stick better and last longer. It will also prevent the eyeshadow from becoming smudged, or rubbing off altogether. You can use either an eye shadow primer, or simply foundation and powder.
3. Choose the right colors
Not everyone looks great in any shade of eyeshadow. Specific eye colors look best with certain shades of eyeshadow. Make sure to select a shade that coordinates well with your unique eye color. While red tones look best with green eyes, dark plums can accentuate blue eyes. Brown-eyed women can get away with wearing almost any shade.
4. Use shimmer sparingly
Shimmer eyeshadow can create a dramatic look, but use it sparingly. Too much can emphasize wrinkles, and creases in the skin. If you have young smooth skin, you don’t have to worry; however, if you have creases in the corners of your eyes, keep it simple when using defining shadows and shades.
5. Stack your shades
By stacking your shades in the right order, you can create a look that will make your eyes appear larger and wider. Begin with the lightest shade closest to your eye line, right above your eyeliner. Then use the darker shade right above, approximately in the crease of your eye fold. Be sure to blend the together well.
6. Highlight the right places
When you highlight certain areas of your eyelid, you can add life to your eyes and give yourself a more brightened look. Accentuate the area right under your brow bone, and the corner of your eye by applying a highlighter in those areas.
7. Keep your brushes clean
Did you know that cosmetic brushes can grow and spread germs and bacteria? You definitely don’t want that on your face. Clean your brushes every night with a small amount of baby wash. Then simply let them dry naturally overnight. You may be able to prevent rashes and blemishes by cleaning those brushes regularly.
To many, applying makeup is considered an art form. With a palette full of gorgeous color and shades, cosmetic artists can transform a face into a masterpiece. They can create a natural look or a look for a night out on the town. Luckily, classic women can use the same techniques to create the same looks for their everyday lives.
