Our Experience: Nola Baby and Child Fest 2012

Last week Weston had his first ever illness, an ear infection. Certainly not fun but my little man was a trooper.  Saturday he was feeling a little better, so we headed out for a little family fun to check out the New Orleans Baby and Child Fest

Here is just a small sample of what we found:

We sampled some amazing cupcakes by Cake Designs by Meg

We talked to Heather, from the soon-to-open Palm Tree Playground in Metairie. Who wouldn't be excited about a beach themed indoor playground for children? We certainly can't wait to check it out!

We visited the adorable Pottery Barn Kids booth and would like to give them an extra special thanks for sponsoring the Nursing Lounges for breastfeeding Mamas. Very smart and very much appreciated!
We tried more sweets, this time with a healthy twist, from the PeaceBaker

We met our friends from Little PNuts, a special delivery, educational toy, subscription service. An awesome company with a really fun product. I would love to do a review of their boxes someday in the future.
Check out this amazing grill that Little Pnuts was giving away to one lucky winner.
We spotted some friends from our Meet-Up Group, Metairie Moms. Hi, Chase and Jennifer!
This look is, "Morrreee pictures Mama?"
We also had our first intro to the children's singer, Papillon. My husband described him as a new age, Cajun inspired, Raffi. Whatever the case Weston and the other kids loved it!
We loved watching all the little kiddo's dance and pump their umbrellas to the music (Think toddler fist pumping with a prop).
We checked out the fire department booth.
And shopped around a lot!

We would have really loved to stay for all of the day's events and maybe even enter Weston into the crawling baby contest, however, a babe recovering from his first illness can only take so much. We had a great time though, and really can't wait till next year.

Disclosure: I received tickets to this event for free. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. 7. That looks wonderful! I love the PNuts Grill, and that owl backpack in the last picture looks very familiar. I know I have seen it before and really liked it, but I can't put my finger on which brand. I'm sure it'll come to me at some point. Anyway, looks like a fun day.

    1. It really is hard. Luckily NOLA is super family friendly and certainly blogging has helped. How old are your kids now?
