Blackberry Strawberry Crisp

As a part of my Summer Goals I pledged to cook the husband three new meals. While I did start out with a bang this week, unfortunately, it wasn't with a healthy summer dinner. Instead, it was with a delicious fruity dessert. Inspired by the huge containers of strawberries and blackberries we bought at Sam's Club this past weekend I decided to bake a Blackberry Strawberry Crisp.
I rounded up my ingredients and basically combined several recipes into one to make a dessert with what I had on hand.  I highly recommend this super easy dessert.

Blackberry Strawberry Crisp

1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch salt
1/4 cup butter

1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

2. Set butter out on the counter to warm to room temperature

3. Cut up strawberries

4. Take a pie pan and fill it with a generous amount of strawberries and blackberries

5. Combine all dry ingredients and stir

6. Use your hands to combine the butter and dry ingredients until it has a crumble like consistency

7. Bake 30 minutes

8. Serve with vanilla ice cream
